One reader notified me that Oxygen TV has given me the Mother Lode of pimp material (for you people in San Francisco – it means a lot of material) for the site. Coming soon to a cable channel near you: “Preachers of LA”!
Take a look at the YouTube video. See if you recognize any of the pimps. You should. There’s everybody from Noel (the Weasel) Jones, to McClendon (who seems to have gained a new congregation after leaving his wife for a much younger honey) to a couple of no names. One of whom is apparently living with his main squeeze).
According to Noel “The Weasel”, he’s doing the series in order to show that pastors are only human.
Don’t ask me to explain it. I just report on the stuff and develop high blood pressure getting upset about it. And because I care about you, even though I can’t stand reality shows, I’m going to watch this series and report back to you.
A tip of the hat to R4C.

If the show is a “success”, don’t doubt they will take it around the country: Preachers of ATL, Preachers of DC, NY, Detroit, Chicago . . .

Heaven knows there are enough of the pimps in each of the cities to support a series in each city.
But hey, maybe the sheeple will get tired of seeing their “pastors” portrayed as a bunch of petty little schemers and either leave or call them to change. And may, just maybe, once the pimps see themselves on tape doing stupid and disgraceful things, God just might use that to break their hearts and turn them to Him. Maybe. Just maybe.

You will always get High Blood pressure when you tend to God’s business and don’t let him deal with those he appoint or do not appoint.
(MN: It’s really quite amazing. The KJRs are almost immediate. I suppose if one of these pimps was involved in an adulterous affair, you would simply turn you head and “let him deal with those he appoints or does not appoint.” Really? Are you that lacking in understanding of the the concept of discipline and holiness? I suspect you are one of the millions of folks who make it possible for such pimps as Clarence, Noel, and others to continue to fleece the sheeple. You really should be ashamed of yourself. )

While I am not surprised, I am heartbroken that those who name the Name of Christ would stoop to this level. The piece that affected me the most is when Clarence McClendon misinterpreted the scripture saying that he should prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers. When are people going to start really reading that scripture? The Lord did not say that to mankind; John was wishing that his friend Gaius would prosper, and I am sure he did not mean in excess.
What I wish would happen is that those who are going to “pimp” would at least do it in the name of themselves. It bothers me that they take the sacred Name of my Lord and Savior and mar it with all of their materialism and blasphemy.
Another thing that I cannot understand is how people who claim to know God’s Word can follow men like McClendon, who traded in his old wife for a newer model; and Jones, who divorced his wife, posed nearly nude for a magazine cover, and now appears to be dating some woman, with whom he has not avoided the appearance of evil; and that other guy who coveted what Jay-z and Diddy have. Jesus said that the Son of Man had no place to lay His head, but these preachers believe that they ought to live in mansions. Jesus told the disciples to take no scrip or purse or change of clothes with them, but these guys are standing in closets the size of my kitchen, full of clothes and a person to help them get into the clothes. This is tragic for the church. I thought that show Sunday Best set the church back a ways. Now this…
(MN: The neat thing is that as our government becomes more and more intolerant and down right hostile to Christianity, many people will either walk away [those who were in it for the show] or actually establish a relationship with Jesus Christ. The catch is that these men and women [pimps and pimpettes] can not provide the guidance we will need to withstand even the mild discomfort I suspect we will be experiencing in the near future. )

It’s nothing to be surprised about…interestingly enough i saw a clip of how Clarence McClendon took the tree of knowledge of good and evil and likened it to tithing, saying that the tree represented the ten percent. Then in grand fashion his leader Paul Morton gets on Word network and blast people for always preaching about tithing and money. But yet believe that everybody is supposed to be “rich”. When will we learn that these jokers have watch over your wallet and not your souls?

Detrick Haddon is another one on the trailer that traded his wife in for a younger woman. It is amazing how they justify this sin. Just amazing!!!!!

‘NO, you wretched TARE … “at the end of the day”, you will be judged more strictly as a pastor.’:
“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.” James 3:1 ESV
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, ESV
UMPH! Melvin, brother … that clip was absolutely foul.

This video clip is stereotypical of the ‘Days of Our Lives’ ‘reality’ / mentality of American media and life! America and all [mine too] other western nations are obsessed with the worship of celebrities, ‘rich and famous’ brigade. This ‘worship’ equates to idolatry and is a reflection of our sad, Godless society worldwide. These ‘actors’ worshipped by the gullible, lost sad and goaless, always try to be larger than life. Their lifestyle, body language, words, worship of wealth and materialism should be evidence to most of us. ‘Evidence’ of who and what they exist and ‘peform’ for : THEMSELVES!
